OUR WOOD

We use natural wood so there may be some knots, splits, chips, etc... that show. We do not try to mask these as they add to the individual character of the wood.. 

No two pieces will look exactly alike. 

OTHER MATERIALS:

We use various commercial grade materials to make our creations... we take pride in our work. 

In addition to wood, we offer products made with ceramic, glass, acrylic and slate to name a few. 

When it comes to the image or wording on the design we choose which material(s) to use based on what works best on the product we are making:

Sublimation: a heat activated printing process that produces a painted on look. The image/wording permanently penetrate and absorbs directly into the product itself. Sublimation works best on certain types of wood and fabrics as well as ceramic and metal. 

Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV):  a heat-activated process used mostly on fabrics but also can be used on  certain types of woods. Once applied, the material is bonded to the product.. F

Permanent Vinyl: an adhesive process made with a clear solvent based adhesive for wood, ceramic, acrylic, windows, glass., etc... Permanent vinyl can have either a matte or glossy finish depending on the product. The permanent vinyl we use is  highly rated due its durability and ability to stand up to the elements (if used outdoors).

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS:

Like most products longevity and durability can depend on how they are cared for.

• Wood signs used outdoors should be limited to exposure to direct sunlight and the elements (aka placed under an awning, a porch, in the shade) as over time prolonged exposure may lessen durability and longevity.

• Wood signs used indoors can be dusted lightly or cleaned with a damp rag. Do not put in dishwasher, soak in water or use cleaning products. 

• Mugs with sublimation are dishwasher and microwave safe.

• Fabrics with sublimation or HTV can be washed just like any other piece of clothing and can last for years with proper care.
